About the Role

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is hiring an MRI Technologist II for a full-time, day shift position. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. This role involves performing general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity for all staff and patients, managing supply inventory, and ensuring quality imaging under physician direction.

Responsibilities

• Administer MRI contrast per protocol
• Evaluate and approve patient MRI safety screening forms prior to scanning
• Ensure knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations
• Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate implants/devices using vendor resources
• Act as liaison between physicians and supportive care personnel
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files
• Perform MRI exams per protocol and review imaging for accuracy and quality
• Explain procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation

Requirements

• Completion of MRI school or MRI certificate program (preferred)
• Trade school graduate in Radiologic Technology (required)
• Certification: CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (required)
• Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire
• BLS certification
