MRI Technologist
About the role
This posting is for multiple full time openings at St Peter's Hospital Olympia, WA. The position is responsible for MRI technologist duties at PSPH.
Responsibilities
- Performing MRI procedures, including setting up, scanning, and filming.
- Communicating with radiologists and other physicians, patients, and their families, and other persons.
- Performing contrast injections.
- Conducting quality control and reporting tasks.
- Maintaining day-to-day schedules.
- Assisting radiologists.
- Operating and maintaining MR and auxiliary equipment.
- Being on call.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training: 2 years community college/vocational training in an accredited Radiological technologist program, or equivalent education/experience.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
- BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification within 1 year of hire.
- National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists certification within 1 year of hire.
- 2 years Sub-specialty MRI, Scanning, or Imaging experience (preferred).
