MRI technologist

About the role

Under the direction of the Director/Manager of Radiology Services, is responsible for the acquisition of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of patients of all ages for diagnostic and/or research purposes, utilizing advanced aspects of computer assisted, digital image recording and analysis systems. Provides high quality MRI scans through operation of specialized equipment which ensures optimum diagnostic clarity for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized MRI equipment to acquire high-quality images
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures
• Document patient information accurately and efficiently
• Interpret physician requests and adjust scanning parameters accordingly
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• MRI registration by the ARRT within two years of hire/transfer to the position
• Current Radiographer license in North Dakota
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist registry on North Dakota Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in MRI technology
• Knowledge of MRI physics and clinical applications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
