MRI Technologist 8:30-5pm M-F with call

Responsibilities

• Produces quality MRI images
• Obtains medical history
• Follows preset protocols
• Administers contrast as indicated
• Performs quality MRI studies within an acceptable time
• Demonstrates ability to perform advanced MRI angiography including bilateral run-offs and reformatting
• Demonstrates ability to perform basic MRI angiography including renal and carotid arteries and reformatting
• Performs abdominal imaging including dynamic liver and hepatic scans according to protocols
• Reviews patient records for accurate history, appropriateness of exam, and verification of order
• Initiates additional views based on recognition of abnormalities
• Provides patients with a complete explanation of the exam and communicates with them throughout the exam
• Demonstrates skillful administration of intravenous contrast material
• Processes scans, completes filming, matches with jackets, and delivers to radiologists on time
