About the role

Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient MRI studies following established protocols, ensuring safety and image quality.
  • Operate imaging equipment, adjust settings, and input scan data accurately.
  • Interview patients to explain procedures and address concerns with tact and courtesy.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, including metal object removal and patient monitoring.
  • Train and orient new hires, trainees, and MRI Technologists I, potentially supervising in the absence of the Supervising Technologist.
  • Perform related duties to support diagnostic imaging services.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of recent, full-time MRI technologist experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • California Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MRI procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to teach and train others.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to present information clearly.
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative, labor management environment.
