About the role
Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images for patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient MRI studies following established protocols, ensuring safety and image quality.
- Operate imaging equipment, adjust settings, and input scan data accurately.
- Interview patients to explain procedures and address concerns with tact and courtesy.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, including metal object removal and patient monitoring.
- Train and orient new hires, trainees, and MRI Technologists I, potentially supervising in the absence of the Supervising Technologist.
- Perform related duties to support diagnostic imaging services.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of recent, full-time MRI technologist experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- California Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Skills
- Proficiency in MRI procedures and protocols.
- Ability to teach and train others.
- Effective communication skills and ability to present information clearly.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative, labor management environment.
