About the role

RAYUS Radiology is challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Join our team as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist and help us shine brighter together. You will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images, providing MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week — 3 days a week, 13-hour shifts, with every 3rd weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately for scanning.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for physician diagnosis and treatment, with minimal supervision or repeated scans.
  • Provide patient support by talking to them throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed and follow physicians' orders precisely.
  • Conform to safety regulations and maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including sanitized equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.
  • Keep equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect after each use.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist with updating the imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist in training new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
  • Complete other assigned tasks.

GE and Siemens experience is a plus. This is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations and business need.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.

Qualifications

  • Certification in imaging specialty (preferred).
  • Bilingual (preferred).
