About the role
We are seeking an MRI Technologist II to perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures in a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans, select appropriate technical parameters, and administer contrast agents following facility policies.
- Support invasive procedures under MRI guidance and maintain a safe work environment per MR Safety Program.
- Prepare patients, ensure proper positioning, and provide education to promote comfort and understanding.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, quality assurance, and departmental training activities.
- Manage supplies, document procedures, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members, verify orders, and ensure timely processing of images for interpretation.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or accredited MRI/Radiologic Technology certificate.
- Three to four years of MRI experience and ability to independently perform protocols.
- ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required upon hire, or internal candidates with extensive experience may be considered.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
Skills
- Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, and pathology.
