MRI Technician

About the role

MRI Technician needed within the Magnetic Resonance Imaging department in Warwick, RI to prepare and position patients, produce cross-sectional images, and ensure quality diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients; select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination
• Enter and monitor patient data; transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce transparencies; develop film in an automatic processor
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, patient data/history)
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning; report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other department spaces

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant experience
• PACS documentation and image quality management
• Equipment monitoring and troubleshooting

Pay

$65.52 per hour

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
