Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise all activities of Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures and assure accuracy in securing MRIs ordered by physicians for diagnostic purposes.
• Ensure the Radiology department meets accreditation/organization standards and achieves SRHS objectives.
• Assist with the development and revision of policies, procedures, and protocols as requested.
• Operate equipment requiring detailed concentration for extended periods of time.
• Stock an adequate inventory of supplies at all times.
• Maintain quality control of procedures and quality assurance of equipment.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited, state approved, School of Radiologic Technology required.
• License: Must be currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; MRI registry preferred. Must maintain a minimum of 24 ECE points in each two‑year period as required by the ARRT in Radiology. Licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health required.
• Certifications: Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Technologist in Radiology required; MRI experience preferred.
