MRI Tech II

About the role

Candidate will need to have experience in Prostate, Breast, Cardiac and full body MRI.

Schedule

This role will work Monday-Friday at our outpatient Womens Center. Hours will rotate between 06:45a-3:15p and 08:30a-5, no weekends, call or holiday requirement.

Responsibilities

• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease.
• Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Adhere to all safety requirements for magnetic safety.
• Demonstrate ability to perform advanced MR imaging procedures and be competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Provide more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program Required or Graduate of JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
• Work Experience: 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist Required
• Licenses and Certifications: ARRIT Radiography Certification Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR) Upon Hire Required and Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) Upon Hire Required and BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
