About the Role

Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. The Advanced Imaging Center at Sentara Greenbrier HealthPlex offers a convenient, modern option for outpatient radiology procedures, featuring the latest technology and staff radiologists with sub-specialist expertise. Every detail, from facility design to personnel training, focuses on patient comfort, convenience, and reassurance.

Responsibilities

• Administer MRI contrast per protocol
• Evaluate and approve patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner
• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations
• Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate all implants and devices through vendor resources
• Act as a liaison with physicians and supportive care personnel
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files
• Perform patient MRI exams per protocol
• Review imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation
• Explain examination and procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certification
• ARRT MR certification/licensure
• 1 year of X-ray experience (for cross-training purposes)
