MRI Tech

About the Role

As our MRI Tech, you will provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and adhering to ACR practice guidelines and safety standards. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, ensure image quality, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and serve as a role model for other associate technologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic resonance scans to obtain high-quality images while adhering to all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety.
• Produce quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Provide information and instruction to patients and/or families regarding the procedure and respond to their physical and emotional needs.
• Observe patient and equipment during the procedure and report/document unusual occurrences and record patient’s condition.
• Maintain technical operation of equipment and notify service when necessary.
• Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Registered Radiology Technologist: Radiology (R.T. (R)) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T. (MR)) ARRT certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• One (1) year of imaging experience is strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree (strongly preferred) or Bachelor's Degree.

Pay

$36.50 - $61.47 per hour.
