Outpatient MRI Technologist needed Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM; no call, nights, or weekends.
About the role
Highly rated imaging center seeks an MRI Technologist to perform a full range of outpatient exams and assist with advanced planning tasks.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients prior to procedure
- Prepare patients for examination
- Perform MRI procedures including abdominal, thoracic, neurological, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies, etc.
- Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as ordered by the Radiologist
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in IV contrast administration
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T.(MR)(ARRT) certification within eighteen (18) months of entry
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS)
- Prior radiology experience
Preferred
- Experience in MRI
- Knowledge of MRI equipment and protocols
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, day shift; no call, nights, or weekends
Pay
- $57 – $66 per hour
