About the role
The MRI technologist operates the MRI equipment and cares for patients under the direction of the MRI Supervisor. Duties are performed in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Director of Imaging and the Radiology Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively
- Care for patients during MRI procedures
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Adhere to infection control guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiologic Science
- Registered or registry eligible by the ARRT
- All non-MR registered new hires must attain MR registry with the ARRT within the first year of hire
- Two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
- One (1) year as an MRI Technologist preferred
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent interpersonal skills

Schedule
Hours are typically Monday through Friday, with rotating shifts and occasional weekend coverage.
