MRI Research Technician
Location: Amherst, MA (Onsite) • Contract position
About the role
In this role, you will support MRI-based research studies involving pediatric participants. The team is seeking an individual who can independently conduct imaging procedures, ensure study protocols are followed, and help advance important medical research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures for research study participants, including children
- Ensure imaging protocols and study requirements are followed accurately
- Prepare participants for imaging studies and monitor safety procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
- Support research staff with data collection and study operations
- Assist with implementation of new imaging techniques and technology improvements
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with research protocols
- Collaborate with investigators, research staff, and participants
Requirements
- ARRT Certification (Required)
- Experience performing MRI procedures
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work independently in a research environment
- ARMRIT Certification (Preferred)
- Experience working with pediatric patients (Preferred)
- Previous research or academic medical center experience (Preferred)
Schedule
- Weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday)
- Candidates choose the hours they are available each weekend
- Additional shifts available on Mondays and Fridays
- Flexible part-time opportunity
Pay
$50.00 - $60.00/hour. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
