About the role
LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, has an opportunity for a PRN MRI Radiology Technologist Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Safely transports patients to assigned areas; assists patient in lifting, moving, and transferring
- Cleans transport equipment daily
- Replenishes O2 tank supply and handles O2 equipment safely
- Assists technologist in transferring and observation of patients
- Communicates effectively with all patients, families, peers, supervisors, and other departments
- Stocks linen and keeps blanket supply replenished in warmer
- Provides assistance as needed to fulfill patient and other customer requests
- Maintains an orderly and clean work environment
- Prepares the Imaging rooms with necessary supplies and equipment for the diagnostic procedure
- Performs clerical duties as necessary for all diagnostic procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic computer skills
- Communicates in a clear and concise manner
- Interacts professionally and effectively with medical staff, patients and families
- Assists the technologist with patient care responsibilities
- Transports patients to and from the procedure room
- Sends for patient when directed by technologist
- Performs other related duties as required
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- One-year related experience (preferred)
Schedule
PRN - Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
