Responsibilities
- Schedule MRI, CT, follow-up, and X-ray-only appointments as needed.
- Assist patients with registration, paperwork, appointment questions, and check-in support.
- Verify insurance authorizations and follow up as needed to help patients access care in a timely manner.
- Create patient estimates and explain benefit information clearly and professionally.
- Collect patient balances before or at the time of service.
- Use third-party systems to send and receive imaging studies from outside facilities.
- Prepare CDs for patients while following HIPAA and medical release requirements.
- Provide courteous, timely service to patients, coworkers, supervisors, and physicians.
- Assist patients with changing and getting ready for their MRI exam, following safety and privacy guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of medical office or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems, especially EPIC, is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements is a plus.
- Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, hospitality, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, remain calm under pressure, and work with minimal supervision.

Pay
$17.50-$21/hour
Schedule
- MRI is open between 6:00am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday; 7:00am-12:00pm, Saturday
- Shift will vary, and evening or Saturday shifts may be required
