Position Responsibilities
- Performs quality assurance (QA) testing of fluids and lubricants.
- Performs tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
- Maintains laboratory equipment including calibration certification.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment including implementation of 5S requirements and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Prepares laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate and/or verify instrument performance.
- Supports, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.
- Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations.
- Supports the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
- Laboratory experience operating analytical test equipment including XRF, pH meters, Automated Titrators and/or manual Titration practices, GC and or GC/MS.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers.
- Experience performing laboratory testing to standards (i.e. ASTM, SAE).
- Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule.
Shift Work Statement
- Training: 1st shift (7:00 am – 3:30pm), 5-day work week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
- After Training: 2nd shift (10:00am or later to 8:30 pm), 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Saturday.
Pay Rate Range
41 - 46 USD hourly
