Position Responsibilities

  • Performs quality assurance (QA) testing of fluids and lubricants.
  • Performs tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment including calibration certification.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment including implementation of 5S requirements and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
  • Prepares laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate and/or verify instrument performance.
  • Supports, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.
  • Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations.
  • Supports the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
  • Laboratory experience operating analytical test equipment including XRF, FTIR, pH meters, Automated Titrators and/or manual Titration practices, GC and or GC/MS.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers.
  • Experience performing laboratory testing to standards (i.e. ASTM, SAE).
  • Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule.

Shift Work Statement

  • Training: 1st shift (7:00 am – 3:30pm), 5-day work week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
  • After Training: 2nd shift (10:00am or later to 8:30 pm), 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts; Wednesday through Saturday OR 5-day work week, 8-hour shifts; Tuesday through Saturday.

Pay Rate Range

41 - 46 USD hourly
