About the role

This is a contract assignment with Boeing, employing contract workers through a Boeing-approved third-party for the duration of the specified project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general Materials and Processes Engineering guidance to assist with the selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for wire harness/assembly/installation design in support of the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP).
  • Support the Oklahoma City MS&B Materials and Processes Team with design reviews, fabrication and production of electrical/electronic boxes, assemblies and wiring interconnect systems for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP).
  • Complete engineering drawing reviews, assist with the update of program specifications, and respond to program inquiries involving electrical wiring and electrical part selection.
  • Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and maintenance of products and approve their use.
  • Lead production of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Promote standardization across business activities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
  • Lead development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
  • Integrate new technologies as appropriate.
  • Conduct complex analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead design, development and qualification of sophisticated computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements.
  • Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
  • Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures and labs and office areas.
  • Lead others and work statements, assist defining strategies and/or provide consultation.

Qualifications

  • Engineer drawing reviews
  • Experience with selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for wire harness/assembly/installation design
  • Experience with fabrication and production of electrical/electronic boxes
  • Background in Aerospace electrical wiring

Skills

  • Previous Boeing experience preferred but not required

Pay

Pay Rate Range: 81 - 86 USD hourly
