MP&P Engineer 2 (contract)

The Puget Sound NDE and Measurement Systems team at Boeing is seeking a contract worker to support design, development, production programs, and in-service activities. This role involves providing certification and qualification services for NDE and measurement technology applications across various Boeing aircraft models.

Responsibilities

• Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections
• Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures
• Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs
• Affords assistance in evaluating emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
• Affords assistance in developing and qualifying new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements
• Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
• Affords assistance in implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
• Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures, and labs and office areas

Requirements

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
• 1+ years of engineering experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA, Solidworks
• Experience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current
• Experience in aviation and/or aerospace
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent skills with various computing systems
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
• Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations
• Knowledge of materials science with metals and/or composites

Pay & Benefits
