Position Responsibilities
- Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections
- Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures
- Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs
- Affords assistance in evaluating emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
- Affords assistance in developing and qualifying new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
- Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Affords assistance in implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
Required Skills
- Bachelor, Master Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 1+ years of engineering experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA, Solidworks
- Experience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current, radiography
- Experience in aviation and/or aerospace
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Pay Rate Range
47 - 52 USD hourly
