Mowing Landscaping Crew Member

Location: Spartanburg, SC 29301

Pay

$18–$22 an hour

Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check and MVR check
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• At least 1+ year of background and formal experience in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, pesticide application
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds on a routine basis
• Ability to walk on steep slopes for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
• Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to motivate others
• Must comply with Dragonfly’s policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Report to the field supervisor
• Manage the maintenance of lakes and ponds, & other Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs)
• Mowing, weed-eating, and string trimming slopes and basins of ponds
• Concrete work, mixing bags of concrete by hand, mixing buckets of grout
• Stabilization includes carrying and rolling out erosion control matting, spreading seed and wheat straw by hand
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks
• Perform work in waders and muck boots
• Collection of company-owned equipment and tools at the end of the day
• May be asked to help in other divisions such as inspection repair as needed

• Mowers – Stand on, walk behind, Ventrac
• Edgers, string trimmers, and chain saws
• Backpack blowers and sprayers
• Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, tree chipper, and pruning tools
