Mowing Crew Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a mowing crew of 1–3 people on a daily service route
• Perform and oversee mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, weeding, pruning, leaf cleanups, bed cleanups, cutbacks, aeration, Verti cutting, power raking, and overseeding
• Interact professionally with customers daily, communicating service expectations clearly
• Coach crew members to build their skills, efficiency, and knowledge
• Equip crew members with the tools, training, and resources needed to meet job demands
• Communicate effectively with irrigation, turf, and forestry route managers to ensure full property needs are met
• Continuously develop knowledge of all Ryan services and make recommendations to customers when additional services would benefit their property

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of mowing or landscape maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain DOT medical certification
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles per day
• A thorough knowledge of mowing and landscape maintenance practices
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first attitude
• The ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable
