Movement Disorders Neurologist

About the role

The Illinois Neurological Institute at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, seeks a fellowship-trained Movement Disorders neurologist to join a comprehensive, multispecialty neuroscience center. The role involves building, leading, and expanding a growing Movement Disorders program, emphasizing clinical excellence, medical education, mentorship, and programmatic development. The physician will work closely with the Functional Neurosurgery team specializing in Deep Brain Simulation (DBS) and other neuromodulation therapies.

Responsibilities

• Practice within a collaborative neuroscience institute with direct access to subspecialty expertise in Epilepsy, Headache, Neuropsychology, Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology, and Neuromuscular Medicine.
• Academic and teaching opportunities through an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency in partnership with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
• Close partnership with the Functional Neurosurgery team specializing in Deep Brain Simulation (DBS) and other neuromodulation therapies.
• Benefit from a strong and established referral base from OSF Medical Group specialists and primary care physicians across the region.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
• Fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
• Obtain and maintain medical license in the State of Illinois.
• Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned with the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served.

• Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $314,137 - $450,000
• Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
