Mountain Sports School Supervisor (Part Time)
About the Role
The Mountain Sports School Supervisor plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Alyeska Resort. This position oversees snowsports school operations, supports instructor development, and ensures high-quality lessons for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Mountain Sports School operations, including scheduling, assigning classes, and payroll.
- Provide on-snow support to instructors to ensure a quality experience for guests.
- Assist with administrative duties such as hiring, training, payroll, equipment inventory management, and reporting on lesson and guest feedback.
- Monitor and document instructor performance, providing meaningful feedback, recognition, coaching, or disciplinary action as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow safety-related programs, including training and incident reporting.
- Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations.
- Participate in leadership forums to provide feedback on operations, training, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
- Current PSIA/AASI Level 1 or equivalent certification required.
- 1-3 years of ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Leadership development experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Competent user of RTP, Flaik, and UKG (preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic accounting and finance skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training, including lifting and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment and resolve conflicts.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent in English.

Pay
The expected pay range for this seasonal part-time position is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on certification level, years of industry experience, and education.
Schedule
This role requires flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak business periods.
Work Environment
The position involves both indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to mountain weather conditions. Physical demands include demonstrating skiing or snowboarding techniques, standing for extended periods, and working in various snow conditions.
