Mount-Dismount Technician

McGriff Tire Company is seeking a Mount & Dismount Technician to handle truck tire mounting and dismounting, casing sorting, retreading, RPO, and scrap management. Responsibilities include labeling, stacking, and placing tires in designated areas, as well as loading them onto trailers. The role also involves managing wheels and tracking incoming and outgoing orders.

Responsibilities

• Dismount tires from wheels
• Roll inspect tires to determine grade (usable, RPO, scrap) and stack by grade
• Inspect wheels and valve stems, replacing valve stems as needed
• Mount tires onto good wheels and place them in outgoing order
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing orders
• Maintain organization of wheels and orders
• Keep work area clean and assist in maintaining shop neatness

Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, stretch, reach, and grasp objects occasionally
• Ability to grip and pull objects on a continuous basis
• Diligent, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Forklift operation may be required
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
• Self-starter who can work without direct supervision
• Willingness to work extended hours or Saturdays as needed
• Must pass a background check (employment history, SSN verification, criminal history, etc.)
• Must pass a drug test
• 1 year of automotive repair experience (preferred)
• 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
• Reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• Full-time
• Some extended hours and/or Saturday work may be required

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
