Moulder Set-Up Operator

Responsibilities
- Set up and change over moulder machines for various wood profiles and production runs
- Install and align cutter heads, knives, and tooling according to specifications
- Adjust machine settings to meet precise profile and dimension requirements
- Read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, and profile specifications
- Perform test runs and verify first-piece quality before full production
- Troubleshoot setup issues and make adjustments to ensure product accuracy
- Monitor machine performance and collaborate with operators during production
- Perform routine maintenance checks and assist with minor mechanical repairs
- Maintain organized tooling and ensure proper storage of knives and setup components
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding setup status and issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years of machine set-up experience in a manufacturing environment (wood industry preferred)
- Experience operating or setting up a moulder is strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine components
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to read and follow technical drawings, work orders, and setup sheets
- Comfortable using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.)
- Able to follow directions and work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
Pay
Competitive Hourly Pay, DOE.
