Motor Winder (AC & DC)
Key Responsibilities
- Motor Coil Winding: Set up and operate winding machines and hand tools to wind stator and rotor coils for AC and DC motors, ensuring precise coil winding patterns and correct wire placement.
- Material Handling: Work with copper wire, insulation materials, and other components, ensuring proper handling, cutting, and spooling of materials as per specifications.
- Blueprint and Diagram Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, motor blueprints, and technical drawings to determine winding specifications, such as number of turns, coil dimensions, and wire gauge.
- Quality Control: Inspect wound coils for defects, such as improper winding tension, wire misalignment, or insulation issues. Perform testing to ensure the coils meet required electrical and mechanical specifications.
- Machine Setup and Maintenance: Set up winding equipment for different motor types and sizes. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of winding machines and tools to maintain operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to winding machinery, material handling, or motor assembly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with electrical components, winding machines, and other tools.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of production, including winding specifications, motor assembly details, and testing results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure the timely and efficient production of high-quality motors.
