Motor Coach Bus Driver-Competitive Pay and Benefits

About the role

Trailways of New York, a prominent family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is currently seeking dedicated and responsible Coach Bus Drivers based out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, New York City.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while transporting passengers along designated routes for safe and timely departures and arrivals throughout New York State, into Montreal and Toronto in Canada and Detroit, Michigan.
• Operate a Motor Coach, School Bus (preferred) or commercial vehicle with a valid Class A or B commercial driver's license.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and DOT physical exam.
• Work a 5-or 6-day work week, (Full-Time) with open availability during those days must include nights, weekends, holidays and occasional overnight trips.
• Complete a 6-week training program that requires being away from home Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• A strong commitment to safety, punctuality and professionalism while operating your vehicle.
• A passion for customer service and excellent communication skills.
• More than one year of experience driving a Motor Coach, School Bus (preferred) or commercial vehicle.
• A valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
• An unrestricted Passenger endorsement (ability to transport 16 passengers or more).
• A valid passport or enhanced driver's license for travel to Canada (preferred but not required).

Qualifications

Pay

Your first year average earnings range from $58,000.00 to $61,000.00 per year, paid every Friday.
