Motor Coach Bus Driver

Responsibilities

• Pick up passengers at assigned locations without delay.
• Complete a pre/post trip bus inspection for each shift.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Complete written reports as required.
• Follow assigned routes, making designated stops as required.
• Assist passengers with luggage as needed.
• Ensure safety of passengers, surrounding vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists while operating the vehicle.
• Make sure proper and clean attire is worn.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsements.
• School Bus (SPAB) or School Bus certificate (if required).
• Minimum 2 years driving charter buses.
• Pass pre-employment criminal background check with no felony, DWI/DUI, controlled substance arrests or convictions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass DOT physical and MVR check.
• Successfully utilize GPS and electronic hours of service tracking technology.
• Able to drive and work outside in all kinds of weather.
• Able to communicate clearly by telephone, two-way radio, and in person.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Fluent in English with courteous, friendly, and professional communication skills.

Physical Qualifications

• Willing and physically fit to lift and move baggage up to 75 lbs.
• Able to maneuver up and down stairs repeatedly.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stretch repeatedly.
• Able to remain stationary (sitting) for long, extended periods of time.
