About the role
The Motor Associate is responsible for assembling, testing, painting, winding, encapsulating, and assembling various components of motors and related machinery. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical documents, performing precise assembly tasks, conducting quality checks, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Motor Assembler: Assemble motors according to specifications, fabricate parts, mark serial numbers, and maintain traceability records.
- Motor Tester: Conduct mechanical and electrical tests, operate test equipment, and ensure compliance with test requirements.
- Spray Painter: Clean and mask parts, mix paints, apply coatings, and maintain paint inventory.
- Winder: Wind stators and armatures, perform resistance tests, and set up winding machines.
- Encapsulation: Skew and encapsulate motors, perform dip and bake varnishing, and sub-assemble motor components.
- Rotor Assembler: Assemble rotors, fabricate parts, and perform balancing operations.
- Core Processing: Bond and stack laminations, sandblast and deburr cores, and perform fluidized bed coating and spray painting.
- Magnet Processing: Perform cleaning, deburring, bonding, and painting operations on yoke-rings.
- Lams and Commutator Bar Processing: Insulate and coat laminations, lamination and commutator bar inspections, and perform powder coating operations.
- Undercut/Debur: Prepare parts and sub-assemblies through hand and machine operations, including undercutting commutator slots.
- Commutation Devices: Assemble brush spring segments, solder terminals, and inspect solder joints.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
