About the Role

As a Mother Baby RN at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, you will provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns while supporting families through one of life's most important milestones. You'll perform comprehensive assessments, patient education, care coordination, and discharge planning to ensure safe and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for postpartum patients and newborns
• Monitor maternal and neonatal status and identify changes in condition
• Provide breastfeeding and newborn care education
• Support patient recovery following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience
• Document care accurately and in accordance with hospital policies

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• NRP certification (required or obtained within designated timeframe)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred
• Mother Baby/Postpartum experience strongly preferred
