About the role

MOT/Barrier Wall Techs ensure safe and efficient traffic flow in construction zones by setting up and maintaining lane closures, directing traffic, and adhering to safety standards. The work environment involves outdoor conditions with varying weather. This role involves driving traffic control vehicles and working at worksites, considered safety-sensitive positions.

Responsibilities

• Implementing traffic control measures to protect the public and workers.
• Setting up and dismantling lane closures and traffic control equipment.
• Safely handling signs, cones, and barricades.
• Directing traffic using flagging and signaling techniques.
• Performing safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintaining a clean worksite and completing documentation accurately.
• Collaborating with team members and adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Reliable transportation and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and positive attitude.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work in outdoor conditions.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Skills

• Experience in traffic control or flagging (preferred but not required).
• Relevant certifications (Flagger, Traffic Control, ATSSA, MOT) (preferred but not required).
