About the role
MOT/Barrier Wall Technician responsible for ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow in construction zones.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain traffic control measures, including setting up and dismantling lane closures and traffic control devices.
- Direct traffic using flagging and signaling techniques.
- Transport and manage signs, cones, and barricades safely.
- Perform safety and equipment maintenance checks.
- Keep work areas organized and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a secure work zone and adapt strategies as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic, effective communication, and positive attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending.
- Pass background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility for varied hours, including nights and weekends.
- Preferred but not required: Previous traffic control or flagging experience, and relevant certifications (ATSSA, Flagging, MOT).
Work Environment
Outdoor setting with exposure to weather conditions. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring driving company vehicles or site presence.
