Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Interview, collect, examine and evaluate borrower financial and personal data to counsel and recommend appropriate residential lending products.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners.
- Accurately complete required disclosures as required.
- Submit loan through an AUS to determine eligibility.
- Interpret AUS findings and communicate required documentation items needed for closing.
- Obtain and analyze required member documents related to mortgage loan request.
- Effectively manage the mortgage transaction by communicating with all parties involved including borrowers, real estate agents, builders and/or other third-party partners.
- Serve as a member advocate, while maintaining the integrity of all RBFCU's policies and procedures.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 12 months experience as a loan officer or processor utilizing Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter
- Ability to perform in a high volume and fast paced environment while maintaining a pipeline of within institution service level requirements
- Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and DocuSign
- Ability to support referral partners during the evening or on weekends
- Ability to attend community outreach and business development events as needed, and travel within the state of Texas approximately once a month
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to pass the registration requirements for the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System
- Must be able to work Saturday shifts as necessary
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with Encompass LOS and Blend POS
