Job Responsibilities
- Processes mortgage applications and submits files to the underwriter for approval
- Updates mortgage loan applications by recording changes and recalculating closing fees and loan payments
- Verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Ensures all documents are prepared and finalized in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures
- Ensures members have adequate funds to cover processing fees by monitoring their accounts
- Responds to inquiries from members through branches or the call center on loans in process
- Maintains close contact with members to obtain information, documents, and permission to transfer funds
- Ensures FNMA loan guidelines are satisfied and all fees are collected during processing
- Uploads DU (desktop underwriter) and credit reports into ImageFlow
- Orders vendor services including PMI, appraisals, title reports, attorney services, flood certification, condo and co-op documents (when applicable)
- Ensures HMDA screens are accurate
- Monitors loan pipeline activity and ensures milestone dates and timelines are adhered to
- Aids Mortgage Loan Officers in rate lock and redisclosed loans
- Creates leads in Salesforce for new member accounts
- Coordinates with Mortgage Loan Officers to triage outstanding issues and escalations
- Re-discloses loan estimates, sends pre-approval letters, 10-day letters, and counter offers
- Performs other duties as requested by immediate supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Minimum two years’ experience in mortgage servicing and/or mortgage banking required
- Experience with the full lifecycle of the mortgage transaction required
- Residential mortgage experience preferred
- Experience with various product types, including ARMs, Jumbo, and Home Equity loans preferred

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of residential mortgage products and processes
- Experience with mortgage servicing software and systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Pay
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus program. The good faith range for this position is $25.25 - $30.50 per hour.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
