Full-time, on-site position at our Larpenteur Administrative office in Falcon Heights, MN.
Responsibilities
- Process first and second mortgage loan applications from application through closing, ensuring accuracy and completeness to meet underwriting approvals, requirements, and secondary market guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver initial mortgage disclosures within compliance timelines.
- Request and collect additional information or documentation from members or potential members during the loan process.
- Obtain required documentation from third parties, including appraisers, loan officers, title companies, and agents.
- Pull tax-assessed values, order appraisals, title work, employment verifications, and flood certifications.
- Verify homeowners’ insurance for current coverage and adequate limits for all loans against the property.
- Prepare loan documents and mortgage files for underwriting.
- Resubmit loan applications through an underwriting system to achieve a 99% scoring rate based on verification findings and satisfied stipulations.
- Recommend and sell Blaze products and services to meet members’ financial needs and support Blaze’s growth objectives.
- Complete loan closing procedures, schedule closings for purchases and refinances, and keep members informed throughout the process.
- Prepare final documentation for loan closing, including verbal verification of employment, updated payoff statements, and homeowners’ insurance.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.

- Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.
Requirements
- Minimum high school degree or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of similar or related financial experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and general computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lead credit union department processes and share corporate knowledge.
- Knowledge of Encompass is a plus.
Pay
$25.20 - $30.00 per hour, plus quarterly team bonus.
