About the role
The Mortgage Processing/Closing Team Supervisor at Nicolet National Bank is responsible for supervising the mortgage processing and closing areas, ensuring efficient and accurate workflow, and maintaining high standards. This role requires collaboration with processors and closers to meet customer expectations and manage service levels.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the processing and closing doc prep areas
- Participate in processing files and closing doc prep to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Manage turn times and department quality standards
- Train employees on accurate data input to reduce potential negative impacts
- Track files to ensure all service levels, three-day TRID, and lock expiration are met
- Aid in the development and implementation of retail training for different loan products and loan origination system data entry
- Prepare and conduct one-on-one meetings with employees using Paycor
- Prepare and conduct processing and closing meetings for group coaching and training
- Work closely with compliance and quality control to ensure rules and regulations are followed
- Provide continuing education on processes and procedures to ensure clean audit compliance
- Conduct timely performance appraisals
- Educate team regarding performance and department objectives and motivate employees for retention purposes
- Recommend and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Assist the Loan Processing Manager with investor applications, annual recertifications, etc.
- Regularly review and adjust individual team member workload to ensure service levels are met or exceeded
- Maintain a positive attitude and make decisions that support Nicolet National Bank's three circles philosophy
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree in business administration, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years lending, processing, or closing experience required
- 1-3 years of management experience required
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Knowledge of secondary market and mortgage processing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to motivate, develop, and lead a productive team
Qualifications
