About the Role
At ServisFirst, our name is our mission. The Mortgage Loan Post Closer/Shipper is responsible for preparing and shipping closed mortgage loans for purchase, adhering to specified deadlines and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Arrange closed loan packages in submission order for investors by organizing files and preparing related documents; ensure that the most current loan submission form per investor is used.
- Review packages to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Submit files to the purchasing investor in a timely manner.
- Scan file contents into image prior to shipping.
- Prepare and mail signature assignments for recording after loans are purchased.
- Monitor lock expiration dates daily.
- Distribute final documents to investors and monitor outstanding documents.
- Perform administrative duties such as faxing, photocopying, filing, and phone support as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Two (2) years of related experience required.
- Basic knowledge of bank operations and products.
- Basic knowledge of federal and state banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding lending and related consumer disclosure requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of agency guidelines.
- Understanding of underwriting closing conditions and experience in clearing applicable conditions.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent customer service and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks under time constraints.
- Good organizational skills and ability to develop a basic understanding of underwriting guidelines.
- Good data entry/keyboarding and math skills.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Sustained standing and sitting.
- Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor.
- Frequent typing using a keyboard and/or calculator.
- Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
- Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low-level noise.
