Mortgage Loan Processor II

About the role

Mortgage Credit Union is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor II in Collinsville, IL to lead and grow our mortgage lending efforts while strengthening relationships within our communities.

Responsibilities

• Processes mortgage applications received via the web, branch personnel, or from Home Loan Advisors and requests specified information for loan application.
• SUBMIT applicant information through online underwriting tool to verify acceptance by secondary market.
• Analyzes applicant financial status, credit profile, and evaluates properly to determine feasibility of granting loan.
• Maintains regular and consistent contact with member and Home Loan Advisor throughout processing term.
• Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to internal policy, applicable regulations and secondary market guidelines.
• Analyzes potential lending opportunities involved in each lending situation to further assist the borrower as well as increase the credit union's lending portfolios.
• Requests title insurance commitment and reviews to insure the interest of the credit union and the member are protected in all transactions.
• Obtains additional documentation as may be required.
• Ensures compliance with final underwriting and appraisal conditions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of Mortgage processing experience.
• Experience processing complex loans (e.g. government loans, self-employment borrowers, and income analysis requiring interpretation).
• Personal computer experience to include Microsoft Office products.

• Clear underwriting conditions with minimal resubmits.
