As Mortgage Loan Originator, you will build and manage a strong pipeline of conventional mortgage loans, anticipate underwriter requests, and guide members through one of their biggest lifetime purchases. At Community First, you can take pride in offering a complete array of mortgage solutions, with a company that recognizes the uniqueness of our members and looks for ways to say, “Welcome Home.” As Mortgage Loan Originator with Community First Credit Union, you will: Thoroughly interview loan applicants, gain an understanding of the member's profile, be proactive in identifying member needs not only related to mortgage lending, but to other products and services offered by the credit unionRequest information for loan applications; record information, complete supporting documents for the mortgage lending process, collect necessary fees, and review application for completenessAnalyze applicant financial status, credit history, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loansCommunicate with and assist processors, underwriters, and closers, to build a strong origination teamInteract with branch locations to develop internal and external member relationships, as well as increase cross-selling opportunitiesParticipate in and facilitate sales, credit union, and mortgage team meetings as requested We are looking for a combination of: Associate's degree in banking, finance, business, or a related fieldThree or more years of consumer and/or mortgage lending experienceStrong knowledge of mortgage lending, secondary market products, underwriting guidelines, and loan processingFamiliarity with Microsoft office suite and web-based software packagesThe ability of work hard, find solutions, and have funPassion for providing outstanding service to our members - internal and external We also offer: A comprehensive benefits packageAn amazing pension programCompetitive compensationGenerous paid time offDay time hoursA commitment to work/life balance and community service
