Mortgage Loan Officer - Tampa Bay
About the role
Responsible for building relationships with external referrals sources such as realtors, builders, and attorneys.
Assists applicants with conventional, construction to perm, FHA, VA and investor type mortgage loans, home equity loans or lines of credit.
Analyzes loan data on applications to ensure they meet all requirements including Grow Financial Federal Credit union (GFFCU) and secondary market guidelines as well as CFPB/TRID guidelines.
Maintains effective communication with applicants to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing the closing of the mortgage.
Ensures that loans meet eligibility and underwriting guidelines through review of Automated Underwriting system conditions.
Aids Processors and Underwriters in achieving timely closings.

- Reviews Automated Underwriting system conditions ensuring that the loan meets the eligibility and underwriting guidelines.
- Aids Processors and Underwriters in achieving timely closings.
Requirements
- High School diploma is required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Two years of mortgage loan origination experience is required.
- Ability to make sales presentations and develop sales production from internal and external sources.
- Proficient math skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
- Proficient PC skills (including mortgage software), with the ability to learn new software.
- Ability to work within time constraints and under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of loan documentation requirements and mortgage lending regulations.
Skills

Pay
$60,000 base & commission
Schedule
Full-time, remote role with the option to work from HQ or retail locations.
Travel to Grow Stores (branches) and locations for networking and community participation required.
Qualified candidates must live in Tampa Bay.
