Commercial Loan Officer - Tampa

About the role

The Commercial Loan Officer will be responsible for the development, growth, and retention of the business loan and deposit portfolio. This position covers the Greater Tampa Bay area.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting potential clients and building this segment of business.
• Developing and implementing competitive loan products and depository products.
• Training financial center staff in all manner of business lending.
• Origination, processing, presentation, closing, and tracking of business loan applications and closed loans.
• Ensuring product and portfolio compliance with NCUA and other applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years commercial loan and business service skills required, or one (1) year of commercial lending experience within the credit union required.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good analytical skills.
• Athorough knowledge of the current software systems or experience on related systems.
• Athorough knowledge of all laws related to commercial lending as well as laws and regulations that govern the operation of Federal Credit Unions.
• A valid driver’s license.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

• Ability to hear and use a telephone.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remote and report to Grow Headquarters and/or retail locations.

Work Environment

• Local travel to retail stores, existing, and prospect member accounts about 50% of the week.
