Mortgage Loan Officer - Secondary Market

About the role

Wasatch Peaks Credit Union serves members across six branches in Weber County, Utah. Formed from the merger of Weber, Alliance, and SummitOne Credit Unions, we operate with the mission to exceed expectations one member at a time. In this role you will join the Mortgage team, assisting members with their mortgage lending needs, analyzing loan requests, and making credit decisions in accordance with mortgage lending policy.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate information on mortgage loan documents to determine whether buyer, property, and loan conditions meet bank and regulatory standards.
• Approve or reject loan applications, or request additional information.
• Establish terms and conditions of an approved loan and review them with members.
• Market the Credit Union’s mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community, building clientele and collaborating with the Marketing Department to create social media posts and promotions.
• Cross-sell Credit Union services that benefit the member.
• Assemble documents in the loan file, including acceptance or denial.
• Participate in continuing education classes and online webinars.
• Participate in community involvement with Wasatch Peaks.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of similar or related experience.
• Preferred: Mortgage Loan Originator License.

Schedule

Full-time position offering 40 hours per week, normally between 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday; events can extend as early as 7:00 am and as late as 7:00 pm.
