About the role

In this role, you’ll deepen relationships with clients by collaborating with peers across banking, lending, and investing to help them with short- and long-term financial goals. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will proactively identify, build, and maintain a quality network of business relationships—such as realtors, builders, and professional contacts—to generate new mortgage lending opportunities. You will interview customers to determine their loan needs, advise them on appropriate products, terms, and pricing, and gather required information. Additionally, you will generate complete mortgage applications while adhering to procedures and policies, all while meeting sales goals and objectives.

  • Drive sales through service by achieving sales and referral goals while creating a positive customer experience.
  • Build a book of business by proactively developing and expanding customer relationships to contribute to branch success.
  • Maximize personal productivity through attention to detail, self-motivation, and adaptability to achieve branch and personal goals.
  • Grow your capabilities by actively participating in opportunities to expand knowledge, influencing skills, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales.
  • Two or more years of retail residential mortgage sales experience.
  • Documented residential mortgage loan volume of at least $8 million in the past 12 months.
  • Established relationships with local referral networks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and experience using laptop technology.
  • Must meet all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including successful completion of background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLS.

Pay

This is a commissioned-based role. Individuals in this position have historically earned between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 per year, based on performance and productivity against commission plan parameters.
