As a Mortgage Loan Officer at OnPoint Community Credit Union, you’ll act as a proactive partner, creating new relationships and expanding existing connections. Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain a quality pipeline of member relationships to generate recurring referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.
- Attract new mortgage loan originations by building relationships within the community, particularly in the real estate sector, and making sales calls to prospective business partners.
- Conduct interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit reports, tax returns, verifications, and other documentation to determine financing objectives.
- Advise members on product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather any additional required information.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure exceptional member service.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional ethics by complying with all federal and state compliance policies and adhering to all requirements.
- Manage a heavy pipeline of 40+ loans while prioritizing multiple competing tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of conventional and FHA-insured real estate lending experience, with knowledge of processing, underwriting, and/or closing procedures.
- Thorough understanding of conventional and government lending practices, policies, and guidelines from origination through closing.
- Ability to be self-directed, efficient, and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with demonstrated math and accounting skills.

Pay
This is a 100% commission-based role with estimated annual earnings ranging from $34,800 to $350,000 based on projected sales volume.
