Responsibilities
- Produce a high volume of good quality consumer and real estate loans.
- Order credit reports, analyze data, approve or deny credit requests, and collect delinquent loans.
- Conduct interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise customers on product/pricing policies, and gather additional required information.
- Provide detailed follow-up with borrowers and meet with applicants as necessary during various stages of the loan process.
- Work closely with mortgage processors and branch staff to ensure customer satisfaction and trust in the Bank.
- Establish and maintain relationships with branch personnel, realtors, builders, and developers as lending sources for their referrals.
- Conduct loan closings, ensuring all documents are appropriately signed and all underwriting conditions are met. Take necessary steps to perfect the Bank’s lien position.
- Disburse funds on construction and home improvement loans in accordance with Bank guidelines.
- Manage and oversee individual loan portfolios and maintain asset quality.
- Develop and maintain existing customer base and build customer satisfaction and confidence in the Bank.
- Register as a Mortgage Loan Originator in compliance with the SAFE Act and complete required training associated with job function.
- Be accessible to clients and referral partners outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred or advanced training equivalent to two or more years in a financial institution or loan setting.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Company’s products and services.
- Good cross-selling, management, and organizational skills.
- Adequate knowledge of internal policies and procedures and relevant state and federal laws and regulations to perform job duties within the proper control environment.

Pay
Exact compensation is determined by factors such as education, skills, internal equity, and experience. Additional compensation includes discretionary short-term incentives (bonus, incentives, and/or commission).
