About the role

Solicits first mortgages through contacts with realtors, builders, and developers. Works with customers to identify and secure appropriate mortgage loans. Develops and expands referral sources. Maintains regular contact with Realtors and attends builder job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Assists customers in identifying and securing a mortgage loan suitable for their financial circumstances.
  • Evaluates customer’s financial information to determine loan eligibility and suitability.
  • Interviews customers to gather necessary information and advise on loan options.
  • Recommends mortgage loan terms and conditions based on customer needs.
  • Engages in persuasive sales activities to encourage customers to do business with the company.
  • Follows up with customers via phone and email to ensure they understand the loan process.
  • Completes loan-related paperwork and prepares necessary documents.
  • Ensures loan originations comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicates with customers throughout the loan process to keep them informed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years recent residential mortgage lending experience, or 1+ years experience in the Fulton Mortgage Company Associate Mortgage Loan Officer Program.
  • Proven ability to develop referral sources from contacts and relationships outside the organization.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

Fully commissioned salary.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule based out of Jackson, NJ.
