About the Role

Join our team in Columbia, IL as a Mortgage Loan Officer. You will develop relationships and solicit business from current customers, referrals, and walk-in customers. This position will accept applications, grant approvals, and process and originate mortgage and consumer loans for the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Analyze applicants' needs, financial standings, credit profiles, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility.
• Educate customers about various loan types and credit options available.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Stay current with evolving laws and regulations governing the mortgage industry to ensure compliance and provide top-notch service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years of banking experience
• Sales ability to market Bank products to customers
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and with others successfully
• Detail-oriented focus
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and use the Bank's core and software systems
• Organizational skills
• Time management skills

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position requires 40 hours each week with work typically being completed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Evenings and weekends may be necessary to fit customers' needs and/or complete work. Travel to meet with clients at their convenience and location will be necessary.
